K-Pop: Demon Hunters Is Getting Not One, but TWO Sequels!

Following its record-breaking success, K-Pop: Demon Hunters may be turning into a full-fledged franchise! According to multiple reports, Netflix is considering two sequels, which could complete a trilogy, along with a live-action remake, a musical, and even short films or a series. This is part of an ambitious strategy to build a full-fledged franchise — one being compared to the success of Disney’s Frozen.

The animated film has become the most-watched animated feature in Netflix history, with over 132 million views globally. It dominated Netflix Top 10 charts in more than 90 countries and received praise for its vibrant visuals, exciting story, and addictive soundtrack — with tracks like "Golden" topping global music charts.

Directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans have expressed strong interest in continuing the story, and the voice cast — including Arden Cho — are ready to return.
Always. There are always side stories, and there are things we've thought of while making this one. There are a lot of questions that are answered, but not fully. I think there are a lot of pockets that we can explore.

While there’s no official release date yet, insiders suggest that production on a sequel may already be in early stages. If greenlit, the next installment could arrive as soon as summer 2026.

Stay tuned — the K-Pop: Demon Hunters universe is just getting started!
