A Barbie Signature collaboration with Formula 1 is scheduled to launch in spring 2027. Mattel has not yet revealed the official release date, pricing, or promotional images. Stay tuned!
Mattel has previously collaborated with Formula 1 teams on officially licensed products. What sets the 2027 line apart is that it will reportedly mark the company’s first direct global partnership with the Formula 1 brand itself, rather than with individual teams.
The first official Barbie doll associated with Formula 1 was the Collector Edition Scuderia Ferrari Barbie. She wore an authentic bright red Ferrari racing suit featuring sponsor patches and a signature team cap. The set also included a racing helmet with a movable visor.
At the 2004 International Barbie Doll Collectors Convention in Chicago, a unique custom-made Ferrari race car in 1:6 scale was unveiled. It faithfully recreated Michael Schumacher’s championship-winning car from the 2003 season and was designed to accommodate the Ferrari Barbie doll. Today, this custom model is considered one of the rarest items in the Barbie collecting world.
