Rainmakers animated movie inspired by the K-pop music genre from South Korea

As Korean culture — and K-pop in particular — continues its global rise, the animation world is getting ready for something fresh. The South-Korean studio RedRover has announced Rainmakers, a music-driven animated feature directed and written by acclaimed filmmaker Lee Seok‑hoon.
The project is described as RedRover’s first major foray into K-pop-influenced storytelling.
The film will feature original songs from a still-to-be-announced K-pop producer, meaning that the music and choreography will be core to both the narrative and visual style.
According to reports, the story follows an orphan and a princess who join forces to challenge a powerful corporation threatening their world.
Stay tuned for more updates on cast, soundtrack and release plans.
