Fans of the Descendants franchise have new reason to celebrate: a fresh teaser for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland has officially dropped, confirming the next chapter in Disney's hit musical series is on its way. The film is scheduled to premiere in Summer 2026 on Disney Channel and Disney+.
What to Expect from the Story
Set shortly after the events of Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024), Wicked Wonderland delves into the consequences of time travel. When Wonderland becomes the host for Auradon's prestigious Kingdom Cup Games, an unexpected villain emerges with plans to exploit Wonderland's unique magic. Red, daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe Charming, daughter of Cinderella and King Charming, must unite to protect Wonderland while navigating the ripple effects of their previous journey through time. As the story warns: "There are consequences when you alter the fabric of time."
Returning and New Cast Members
The film brings back beloved stars alongside exciting new faces. Kylie Cantrall returns as Red, and Malia Baker reprises her role as Chloe Charming. Rita Ora continues as the formidable Queen of Hearts, while Brandy makes a highly anticipated return as Cinderella. Melanie Paxson also returns as the Fairy Godmother, marking her appearance in all five Descendants films to date. Paolo Montalban reprises his role as King Charming, and Leonardo Nam joins as Maddox Hatter, son of the Mad Hatter and Red's tutor.
A new generation of descendants expands the ensemble cast: Liamani Segura as Pink (Red's younger sister), Brendon Tremblay as Max Hatter, Kiara Romero as Hazel Hook, Joel Oulette as Robbie Hood, Zavien Garrett as Felix Facilier, and Alexandro Byrd as Luis Madrigal.
