According to some reports, each doll in the Bratz x MONOPOLY collection is inspired by a different character, object or familiar element from the classic board game.
Yasmin appears to take on the role of the MONOPOLY banker, wearing a mint-green business suit with a subtle money-inspired print, a white shirt and red tie, while carrying a black briefcase decorated with the MONOPOLY logo. Her cane may also feature a miniature version of one of the game’s traditional metal tokens.
Sasha’s colorful dress seems to be constructed from overlapping MONOPOLY banknotes in different denominations, while her orange accessory resembles a classic Chance card, possibly the famous Get Out of Jail Free card.
Jade transforms into a glamorous female version of Mr. Monopoly, also known as Rich Uncle Pennybags, complete with a black top hat, white moustache, red bow tie, tailored black outfit, cane and a dramatic sheer cape inspired by the tails of his formal coat.
Cloe’s black-and-white striped look is most likely based on the game’s Jail corner and traditional prisoner imagery. Her money bag gives the outfit a playful bank-robber theme, while her mismatched red and green earrings may represent the red hotels and green houses used in the game. Together, the four dolls appear to represent the Bank, MONOPOLY money and Chance cards, Mr. Monopoly himself, and the game’s famous Jail space.
