First look at Disney Animation new original movie Hexed been revealed.
Slated for release on November 25, Hexed follows a teenager and her Type-A mom as they discover that what makes her unusual might just be magical powers that will turn their lives and a secret world of magic, upside down.
Disney changed the cartoon's concept from a story about a teenage boy traveling with his mom to one about a teenage girl traveling with her mom.
Hailee Steinfeld plays the teenage girl Billie Doe.
Rashida Jones plays her mother.
Description of a clip from movie. The Book and the Pen ask Billie a series of questions to determine whether she is a witch. The questions are quite comical—for instance, whether she has ever been persecuted or burned at the stake. She admits that she doesn't fit into the ordinary world, which allows her to pass the witchcraft trial. Once accepted, a portal opens to the world of Hex, which resembles a vibrant Renaissance-style village surrounded by large hills.
It is interesting how Witches are trending in entertainment this year. Disney releases Hexed, Mattel releases Moonspell Magic dolls and MGA releases Bratz The Craft collector dolls.
